Emergency transportation will typically constitute an ambulance, or if necessary, an airlift. In these cases, call 911 immediately. This option may be covered by insurance, but this is entirely dependent on your insurance company.
• Non-Emergency Medical Transportation: Non-emergency medical transportation is an excellent option for individuals that need assistance getting to health-related appointments and don’t have a means of getting there. Rides include (but aren’t limited to) non-emergency adult day services, non-emergency dialysis appointments, non-emergency one-day surgeries, and non-emergency mental health visits. This option is typically covered by insurance, but we encourage you to double-check with your provider beforehand.
• Taxi: This option is ideal for non-immediate needs, such as a run to the grocery store. While still necessary, this form of transportation will get you from point A to point B. This option is 100% out of pocket and will never be covered by your insurance company.
